✨ A Little Note Before You Stick
Let’s make sure your wall is ready for fun. At Little Joey, we want your magnetic wall to feel like magic — and that starts with checking if your wall is a good match. Some paints and surfaces just aren’t decal-friendly, and that’s totally okay — we’ve got workarounds.
❌ Surfaces That Aren’t Compatible
These surfaces usually don’t work well with our magnetic decals (they might resist the adhesive or cause peeling):
- Stain-Resistant Paints: These are great for staying clean, but tough for decals to grip.
- Air-Cleaning Paints: Their chemical makeup can prevent proper sticking.
- Textured Walls: Bumps and ridges reduce surface contact.
- Old, Cracked, or Flaky Paint: Applying decals here can damage the wall even more.
⚠️ Paint Types That Can Be Tricky
Some popular low-VOC or eco paints might make adhesion more difficult. It depends on the brand and finish, so testing a small area is always smart.
Brands that might include harder-to-stick paint types:
- Dulux
- Haymes
- Wattyl
- British Paints
- Porter's Paints
- Taubmans
These are all excellent brands — but their formulas may need extra prep to work with wall decals.
💡 Not Sure About Your Wall?
We’ve got an easy fix: add an MDF board to your order!Stick the decal to the board, then mount it on your wall using regular adhesive strips — no paint stress involved.
🧽 Some Final Tips
Freshly Painted Walls.
Let them rest! Wait 30 days before applying your decal.
If Minor Wall Damage Happens
It’s rare, but possible. A gentle sand and a quick paint touch-up usually does the trick.
